Your Guide To GPT-3 Model by OpenAI

GPT-3 by OpenAI - Reactive Space

Still in the private beta phase, GPT 3-AI stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. It is a third-generation variant of GPT n series that is yet to be made available at a wide scale. It is a gigantic neural network that is a part of deep learning which is a subset of artificial intelligence. This technology has come forward as a breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence and was developed by OpenAi with billions of USDs invested in its process. As of yet, it is the most sophisticated form of AI and its potential is projected for growth in automating tasks.

What does GPT-3 do?

GPT – 3 will generate text depending on the command that it has been fed and it is better than the ones produced previously because the text composition is highly similar to the human produced narrative. It can produce essays, stories, news articles, poetry, simple question- answering and programming codes. As the name suggests, it goes through a series of testing that allows it to learn from experience and provide as much as accurate answers as possible. The purpose of going through a training phase is to make the program as sophisticated and accurate as possible with a variation of data distributed throughout the neural network.

Practical Applications of GPT-3

Although GPT-3 is yet to be rolled out for everyone to use, it has been given out to specific people who have successfully used the program in different cases. It is going to make a huge shift in the way people deal with their businesses as the program is capable of taking much of the load off of the person. It enables automating much of the tasks with an expert’s supervision and enhance productivity levels to an all new high. For instance, one user used GPT-3 model in an excel sheet to auto complete the data by feeding it the previously added information. Another user also used it to generate SQL queries by simply providing information in simple English. Similarly, other users generated layouts, full blow UI designs, CSS codes, translated math expressions to LaTeX and generated answers with a source link to the queries in a GPT-3 powered search engine.

Some time ago, the guardian, a popular news outlet, published an article that was composed by GPT-3 model. The article was coherent and met all the required standards for it to be published and quite accurately depicted the expression of a human being. Another mind-blowing use case of GPT-3 is that a user was able to generate code for a machine learning model, just by describing the dataset and required output.

What to expect from GPT-3 in 2021?

GPT-3 is going to transform the way we deal with our tasks, be it programming, composing articles, designing, developing or anything that requires data processing, it can be automated with GPT-3. The use cases mentioned above are just the beginning of a revolution and its potential to grow is going to solve much of the NLP issues. Other than that, for now, the expectation from GPT-3 is only growing as Microsoft obtained an exclusive license to GPT-3 in 2020 when it invested US$1B in OpenAI over the next decade. Now, the game plan is only going to move forward and companies like ours are on the front-line to bring the GPT-3 experience to our solutions.
